Crammed elevators and public transport are not my favorite places. There is an inherent awkwardness that comes with being close to another person in public. People usually migrate towards corners of an elevators or stay close to the entrance in a train. We don’t usually know what we need to do to maximize the space around us. One simple hack would be to put markers on the floor with proper spacing! Maybe they can be marked as “Stand Here”. Do you think this will solve the problem of being cramped in a public space a little bit?
